Kelmscott Baseball Club Pre-1990

Kelmscott Baseball Club from information received from previous members of  Kelmscott Baseball Club prior to 1990. Original playing from Morgan Park in Armadale the Club started around 1979 and moved to John Dunn Oval in Kelmscott shortly after Kelmscott Football & Sportsmen's Club (KFSC) moved into John Dunn Oval. Competing in A Grade (State League) the Club's committee had various disputes with KFSC and in 1989 moved to Gosnells Oval and changed their name to be known as Gosnells Hawks Baseball Club.

Kelmscott Baseball Club Re-Established 1990

Kelmscott Baseball Club in it's current form was established in 1990 by Keith Sinfield, Alvin Prosser, Terry Moffatt, and Colin Pruden to name a few.

In our first season 1991-1992 we were able to field two sides one B Grade and the other was E Grade. With B Grade winning the Club's first Minor Premiership in their first season winning 16 games during the Home and Away season, however the team lost in straight games to be bundled out of the Finals.

The following year 1992-1993 B Grade again made Finals. This time winning through to the penultimate game only to lose to South Perth. During the years we have fielded up to four sides, but for the last ten seasons have always managed to field at least three sides.

The Club's top side has on may occasions been successful in reaching the penultimate game without success. However our lower Grades have been more successful with our F Grade (F-Troop) winning the Club's first Premiership in 1998-1999 against Gosnells.

Again in 2004-2005 our Club tasted success with a premiership win against Rockingham. It was also the first year Kelmscott Baseball Club hosted finals at John Dunn. Last season 2005-2006 saw the Club win it's second Minor Premiership with D Grade comfortably accounting for all comers during the season. They were however unable to go Back-to-Back or obtain the Double go down to Carine.

With a new season fast approaching at time of writing the Club has some more history to add with the Club's first Pre-Season Camp organized by former President Adam Stevenson. And most importantly this season will see the first Junior teams compete as BULLDOGS
